Flewelling joins Independent Bank?s management team

Norma Flewelling recently joined Independent Bank as assistant vice president and manager of the Rogers City office. Flewelling will serve the financial needs of the Rogers City community with an emphasis on residential lending and business development. As manager, she will oversee the daily operations of the banking office. Flewelling joins Independent Bank from Northwestern Bank. She has more than 24 years of banking experience and began her fanking career at Family Federal Savings and Loan as a teller in 1978. She is an active member of her community, serving as past president for AFS and a past treasurer for Habitat for Humatity of Presque Isle County. Cheboygan Memorial offers medical scholarships

The medical staff of Cheboygan Memorial Hospital annually offers medical staff scholarships for persons entering the health care field, such as nurses, medical technicians, physiotherapists, X-ray technicians, inhalation therapists, and other fields of study. Those interested in applying for a scholarship may do the following: Complete an application form and return it to the Scholarship Committee of CMH; a student must apply to, and currently be accepted into a Michigan accredited institution. Posen schools benefit from A-P Super Service program

Posen Area School PTO was looking for a fundraising idea and came up with a plan for Tony Przybyla and A-P Super Service. Przybyla offered to provide five vehicled last fall at the Posen High School parking lot for test drives. For every vehicle taken for a test drive, the Dodge program would offer $5. More than 58 people took test drives, netting $340 for the PTO. Przybyla donated $160 to make it an even $500 for the school group.

Glen?s teams with Campbells for school program

Rogers City Glen?s store director Jackie Viegelahn recently presented St. John Lutheran School principal Kenneth Schroeder certificates redeemable for 5,000 Campbells Labels for Education. The labels have been used by the school for sports equipment in the past, but may be used for art supplies, classroom accessories, and musical instruments as well. The store is partnering with participating schools to provide the labels.
