RC Drama Club to present murder mystery dinner theater

?A brand new French restaurant, Chef Hillary?s, will open its doors Friday evening in downtown Rogers City,? said Rogers City High School drama director Bryan Mills.

?The restaurant will feature a live band, appetizers, French cuisine, dessert, drinks, and a murder mystery all for the price of $13.50 per guest per night.? The new dinner and play concept will be a unique experience for theater goers with the meal being catered by Cheryl Kowalski.

SEATING IS LIMITED to 100 guests per night. The duration of the restaurant?s opening will be limited to the four days the play will be running, Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, and Friday and Saturday, May 2 and 3, at 6 p.m. Upon arrival, guests will be entertained by a live band from Europe called the ?Homicides? while eating French hors d?oeuvres. Guests will then be invited to dine in the restaurant on French foods while viewing ?A Taste of Murder,? a mystery presented by the RCHS Drama Club.

After the mystery, the guests will visit clue sites to gather information as to who was the killer. Upon their return, they will be served French pastries by the staff and be invited to make predictions on who the killer was. A drawing will be be conducted for unique prizes for those guests who correctly guess the murderer.

GUESTS WILL be greeted by the maitre d?, Monet

(Matt Flanery). They will feast on wonderful foods prepared by Chef Hillary (James Bruning), Chef Warhola (Anita Plume) and cook Eddie Degas (Travis Langlois). Guests also will be served by head waitress, Dali Salvador (Amanda Minton) and head waiter, Dee Kooning (Matt Darga).

Other characters in the production include Frida (Jessica Szatkowski), Jean (Nicole Grulke), DuChamp (Mike Tomas) and David Messner (Jared Fleming). Additional servers include Morgan Suszek, Chelsey Plume, Sara Pines, Alex Matthews, Cattie Losier, David LaBar, Simone Kapala, Krystal Haske, Katy Fryske, Jennifer Fleming, and Henry Dietlin.

There is a still room at Chef Hillary?s for each night of this unique dining experience. Tickets are only available at the RCHS office Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. the remainder of this week and next week if still available.
