Larry Dittmar chosen parade Grand Marshal

Larry Dittmar has been chosen to be the Honored Citizen and the parade?s grand marshal for the Village of Millersburg?s annual Labor Day Weekend celebration. This year the theme for the grand parade is ?The Working World,? and Dittmar fits right in to that role. He has been employed by the Presque Isle County Road Commission for the past 32 years. He was chosen to be this year?s honored citizen for the many hours and for the 31 years he has helped the village. He is the street administrator for the village. ?I don?t have any hobbies. You could say my hobby is work,? said Dittmar.

President of the Millersburg-Ocqueoc Business Association (MOBA), Melody Beswick said, ?Larry just about does everything for the village, from mowing the grass at the fairgrounds, parks, depot, and other areas of the village to street maintenance, including the trash barrels, plowing, grading, paving and ditch digging. He?s basically the DPW worker for the village.?
