Lunch hour wreck sends two to the hospital for treatment

A two vehicle wreck sent two young people to the hospital Thursday.

A four-door compact car, driven by a 16 year old female, was attempting to turn west onto West Third Street from a private drive when it pulled directly into the path of a truck, driven by a 17 year old male of Hawks. The driver of the truck was unable to avoid impact with the compact car. Both vehicles receoved extemsive damage as a result of the accident.

The driver of the car, and a 16 year old rear seat passenger, were transported to AGH, where they were treated and released. RCPD said alcohol was not a factor.

The accident occured at 12:45 p.m. Thursday on West Third Street east of Linden. RCPD was assisted on the scene by the RC Fire Department, Presque Isle County Sheriff, and Allied EMS.
