Bruder to head county board; committee appointment assigned
District 2 county commissioner Allan H. Bruder will again chair the County Board of Commissioners. Meeting Friday (Jan. 2) the board unanimously elected Bruder chairman, and Gary Wozniak, District 4 commissioner, as vice-chairman.
Committee assignnments were then made by Bruder, who will serve on three of the board’s six standing committees, including the finance, executive, and district health committees.
Wozniak will serve on the executive, personnel, and district health committees while District 3 commissioner Mike Darga was named to the building and grounds, and public health committees.
District 1 commissioner Robert Schell will serve on the executive, personnel, and building and grounds committees. District 5 commissioner Donald Field, who remains hospitalized following an automobile crash last month, was not named as chairman of any committee, but he was appointed to the finance and public health committees.
Bruder also named the commissioners to 17 other committees including the Presque Isle County Tourism board (Darga and Schell), and the regional solid waste committee (Darga).
