RC to play Mio in district championship

The Rogers City Hurons moved into the district finals in Onaway with a 61-52 win over Hale Wednesday. A balanced scoring attack was led by Kyle Greene with 19, Tim Cercone with 18, Adam LaLonde with15, and Chris Paschke with seven.

The Hurons play Mio in the finals, who defeated Onaway 93-54 Tuesday, and Inland Lakes 64-50 Wednesday.

The winner of Friday’s game plays the winner of the Harbor Springs district Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Petoskey High School.

Posen also won its district semifinal and will appear in the finals Friday. Details of that game will appear here later this morning.
