At the Inland Lakes Bulldog Invitational, the Vikings placed fifth for the girls (30) while St. Ignace claimed first with 145.5 points and the boys were seventh (11) with St. Ignace taking first (132). In a sensational performance, Amanda Pieczynski set three new PRs with a first in the 200-dash (27.16), second in the 100-dash (12.76) and second in the 400-dash (1:03.63). Amanda Pieczynski, Jill Krajniak, Megan Pieczynski, and Rachel Beach took fourth in the 800-relay (2:05.44) Amanda Novak, Amber Budnik, Megan Pieczynski, and Brittany Chojnacki were third in the throwers-relay (1:06.49).

In boys? events, James Sobek took fifth in the long jump (17?10?), the 400-dash (55.89), and the 800-run (2:18.55). Curtis Beach was fifth in the 1600-run (5:12.45) and sixth in the 800-run (2:18.88). Aaron Hincka placed fifth in the discus (112? 1?), while Apollo Schuch was seventh in the 300-hurdles with a new PR (48.68).

The Joburg Invitational results from Monday?s meet had Gaylord St. Mary in first place with 91 points and Posen 10th with eight for the boys. Inland Lakes took first in the girls? events and Posen was 12th. In the boys? events, Sobek took fourth place in the 400-dash (55.32) and Hincka was fourth in the discus with 121? 9? throw. Posen will attend a regional meet at Bellaire Saturday and the 9/10 Fairview meet Monday.
