Planning commission begins discussing ordinances

The first Rogers City Planning Commission meeting since March, while brief, covered a variety of topics. According to city manager John Bruning, there was a general review of the comprehensive plan and zoning ordinances by commission members during Monday night?s meeting. ?We just discussed some of the things that have been brought forward through previous discussions,? said Bruning.

One of the issues that the planning commission was asked to look at was the language involving fences and corner clearance. The Zoning Board of Appeals earlier this month recommended the planning commission look at a possible clarification of the language in the ordinance. In other matters, Bruning provided an update on city projects.

The board also decided not to conduct a July meeting unless something needs to be addressed. ?We are not going to meet for the sake of having a meeting,? said Bruning.
