Flu shots scheduled at RCAS

District Health Department No. 4 will be administering flu shots January 7 between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Rogers City Area Senior Center on East Superior Street in Rogers City. According to RCAS spokesman Milt Very, more than 130 people have signed up for the shots with 150 vaccines available. In October and November people stood in line around the country to get one of the precious few flu shots.

But now that more vaccine is available – with a few million more doses expected from British and German suppliers – demand is dwindling. There will be no charge for individuals with a Medicare card. Very said refreshments will be available.
