Five to compete for ‘Miss Posen’

Final preparations are underway for the annual Miss Posen Pageant set for Friday, August 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Posen High School gymnasium. The pageant precedes the Posen Potato Festival set for September 9, 10, and 11. The new queen and her court will reign over the festival and other events throughout the year. Five talented young ladies are vying for the title of Miss Posen for 2005.

The contestants are Rachel Beach, daughter of Curtis and Toni Beach; Meranda Mulka, daughter of Mitchell and Angela Mulka; Emily Perrault, daughter of Edward and Denise Perrault; Amanda Pieczynski, daughter of Adam Pieczynski and Lori Barton; and Jeanette Rose, daughter of Connie and Wallace Srebnik. The contestants will be evaluated in individual interviews on the afternoon of the pageant. During the pageant they will be judged in the areas of coordination, poise, appearance/evening gown, and talent.

The new queen will succeed the current Miss Posen, Dorothy Romel, daughter of Leo and Denyse Romel.
