Pastor Schilke left public education in 1995 to enter the seminary to prepare for the ministry. During his years in education, he coached basketball at all levels from junior high to community college, including 12 years as a high school varsity head coach. He also spent many years working in summer basketball camps around the state.

Schilke said, ?I still love the game and young people. With Marty knowing the athletes, this seems to be a natural way to share some of my basketball knowledge and to make a connection with the students.?
