New Miss Posen is Amanda Pieczynski

Amanda Pieczynski is the new Miss Posen after winning the talent, coordination, and poise and appearance awards at last Friday?s pageant. The 17-year-old daughter of Adam Pieczynski and Lori Barton performed an energetic dance routine to ?Alley Cat? for her winning talent presentation. ?I?m amazed. I didn?t expect it. I can?t believe I did this,? she said after the event.

First runner-up Emily Perrault, the daughter of Edward and Denise Perrault, performed ?Part of Your World,? on the violin for her talent presentation. Second runner-up was Meranda Mulka, the daughter of Mitchell and Angela Mulka. She sang the country hit ?Love Gets Me Every Time? for her talent presentation. The other contestants were Rachel Beach, the daughter of Curtis and Toni Beach, who signed to the song ?I Wear My Sunglasses at Night,? and Jeanette Rose, the daughter of Connie and Wallace Srebnik who performed a clarinet solo, ?Andante and Gavotte.?

PIECZYNSKI TAKES over the title held by Dorothy Romel, the daughter of Leo and Denyse Romel. Romel thanked many who made her reign memorable. ?Thank you so much for making my year so much fun. It is one of the most memorable times of my life,? she said. As part of the entertainment portion of the pageant, Romel, Kendra Krajniak and Courtney Romel performed a hilarious skit titled ?You Were Lucky.? The contestants were judged in the areas of coordination, poise and appearance, and talent. The new queen will reign over the Posen Potato Festival and represent Posen at other events throughout the year.
