Stiller appointed interim executive director of chamber

Members of the Rogers City Chamber of Commerce have turned the controls of the organization over to a local resident, whose most recent job was a corporate pilot. Al Stiller, who has lived in Rogers City since 2003, has been named interim executive director until a replacement is found.

?Right now we are basically holding down the ship and keeping the projects going that we started,? said Stiller, who was in the audience of Monday?s Rogers City Planning Commission meeting. ?There are some ideas, some projects that we had planned for the future. We are just trying to keep things rolling.? Stiller took over for executive director Bill Hanchett. The next meeting of the chamber is December 7 at 7:30 a.m., where the matter may be discussed more, although no timeline is in place to find a replacement. Stiller?s wife of 28 years, Deb, has been involved with creating the unique cartoon posters for Rogers City businesses.
