Viking basketball players are looking forward to rematch Friday at Au Gres
The story of the first of the first half of the season for the Posen basketball team has been too much time between games. After playing two games since January 6, both of which ended up in the win column, and a two and a half week time period off for Christmas break, the Posen basketball team found itself with another week and a half off after Arenac Eastern forfeited their game with the Vikings for disciplinary reasons. While head coach Steve Hentkowski would have preferred to play the game at Arenac, Posen is 4-4 overall heading into Friday?s rematch against Au Gres.
All four of the Viking?s losses this season have come against teams with winning records. The players will get their first shot at one of the teams that defeated them this season. ?The boys really thought we should have had that one,? said Hentkowski of the first league game that was played December 9. ?They know where they made some mistakes and we are going to work on a lot of that this week. Right now we are taking it one game at a time. Whatever happens in the league, happens, we?ve got to take care of our own.? One of their own has healed from an injury suffered against Atlanta. Jordan Hincka?s ankle is sore but in much better shape. The sophomore is one of Posen?s top scoring threats. Posen has its first matchup of the season on the home floor against Rogers City Tuesday.

Coach Gary Bisson said he is extremely happy with the effort his team has been putting in and said they have been working extremely hard in practice.
