11th annual Sportsman?s Show coming Dec. 1-3

The Presque Isle County Tourism Council is pleased to announce its 11th Annual Northeast Michigan Sportsman?s Show from December 1-3 at the Onaway High School. This year will feature guest celebrity host Rob Trott, from the PBS show Great Lakes Outdoors.

Highlighting his year?s event are the Birds of Prey programs and displays, including a flying demonstration on Sunday morning. New this year is the Shanty Town event, where participants can enter an old or new shanty for judging. Gil and Brenda Archambo will set up a shanty to demonstrate its use.

Back by popular demand this year is the Chili Cook-off, where spectators are the judges. Call the Tourism Council office to enter your ?home brew.? Homemade ?foods of the north? will be prepared onsite for sampling.

Kaye Porter will bring an array of quilts to display, reminiscent of quilting days gone by.

Stop by and support the community. Numerous vendors will be present for shopping convenience.

The show hours are Friday, December 1, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call (989) 734-4755.
