Children?s Christmas Choir will perform Sunday

It?s the time of the season when the smells of Christmas cookies fill kitchens, sparkling lights line windows and fill trees, and Christmas melodies can be heard from radios, carolers, and choirs, including the Children?s Community Christmas Choir of Onaway.

Nearly 30 children from the local area will gather Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Onaway United Methodist Church to perform Christmas music. Director Judy Bancroft said there would be solo and group performances.

?We had 30 performers last year, and we are down a little this year,? said Bancroft. ?We?d like to get a bigger group. We are smaller in numbers this year, but we are mighty.?

Bancroft said the children?s choir is made up of children from all faiths, and the entire community is welcome to come listen in celebration of the upcoming Christmas holiday.
