Vikings win fourth straight district

The Posen Vikings didn’t let the home team take home the district title as they defeated the host Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals, 73-36. The win gave the Vikings their fourth straight district title, and they did so in convincing fashion.

Posen started quickly, jumping out to a 14-6 lead in the first quarter, and finished strong, outscoring the Cards 29-9 in the final frame.

Jordan Hincka scored 23 points while Nick LaTulip added 19 for coach Steve Hentkowski’s squad. Next up is the first round of regionals at St. Ignace Tuesday, where the Vikings take on Mackinaw City.
