Chelsea Enos crowned Queen of Cheboygan County Fair

After a devastating fire destroyed the home of Victor and Michele Enos on December 29, life for them and their two daughters, Chelsea and Sarah, probably appeared rather grim; however, life has a way of turning itself around, and this past Sunday the Enos family was happy to celebrate new beginnings when Chelsea was not only crowned Queen of the Cheboygan County Fair, she walked away with every award.

?She won everything,? said Judith Decker, Chelsea?s grandmother. ?She took home Miss Congeniality, Best Talent, Evening Gown, People?s Choice, and the Best Interview, where she scored a perfect 100 percent.?

Chelsea beat four other contestants, all from Cheboygan, in order to be crowned Fair Queen ? an honor she will carry for one year as she represents Cheboygan County. She choreographed her own dance to the Michael Jackson hit ?Thriller,? and wowed the crowd with her poise and personality.

Chelsea will be a senior this year at Onaway High School, and just celebrated her 17th birthday on July 31. Chelsea won Miss Congeniality at the 2007 Miss Onaway pageant in June.

It is no secret her family is proud, including her grandparents Robert and Judith Decker, and two grandmothers, Margaret Enos and Nancy Porter. Chelsea also has two great-grandmothers in the Onaway area.

Chelsea?s family is in the process of rebuilding their home on Black River Road, with approximately six weeks until completion.
