Community choir Christmas program well attended

The Onaway Community Choir presented The A-B-C?s of Christmas as its Christmas program last Thursday in the Onaway High School auditorium.

Director Peg Herring led the community choir in several musical numbers that each illustrated a letter of the Christmas season while the letters were placed on a Christmas tree. The choir opened the program with the ?Emmanuel Medley? before Kim Wregglesworth welcomed the crowd to the event.

s of the choir performed solos and groups from the choir also performed various musical numbers and readings. The audience was asked to participate by singing several carols throughout the night, including closing the program with Silent Night. Twenty-five musical numbers in all were performed and choir member Terry Materna led the audience in singing four of those numbers.

Choir members Deb Morgan and Kym Wregglesworth also performed one selection on their flutes as the choir sang. Shirlee Morgan played the piano for the choir as they performed with voices filled with the joy of the Christmas spirit.

Following the program choir members offered refreshments.
