Avery Ann Langlois is Advance’s New Year’s Baby for 2009

Avery Ann Langlois debuted at 12:24 a.m. Tuesday, January 6 as the winner of the Advance?s New Year?s Baby contest. The daughter of Tonya and Nathan Langlois was born at Alpena Regional Hospital. She is the granddaughter of Fritz and Jackie Langlois and Ken and Monica Fleming and her birth was the first reported to the Advance.

Avery, who weighed in at 7-pounds, 14-ounces and measured 20 1/2 inches in length, joins brother Evan, age two in the Langlois household. Mom Tonya said baby Avery was due January 5, and arrived just 24 minutes late. Evan arrived on his exact due date.

The family will be showered with gifts from local businesses, as listed in last week?s edition of the Advance.
