The 5th Annual Antique and Vintage Snowmobile show will take place this Friday and Saturday at the Water?s Edge Restaurant in downtown Rogers City. With the fresh snow that blanketed the area Sunday evening followed by the warm weather and rain, organizers are hoping the winter weather holds out, at least until their show is over. All events for the show are open to the public and all are encouraged to attend. The show is a great wrap-up to the winter season and brings plenty of activity to Rogers City as last year?s show brought in 180 snow machines.

Friday the event kicks off with the Vintage ride at the 208 Hunting Club beginning at noon and ending whenever everyone finishes. There will be a hot dog roast, 50/50 drawings and plenty of catching up with old friends as well as making new ones as people sit around the fire and talk. The event is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

The Water?s Edge Restaurant will be open Friday evening with a cash bar. For all activities at the Water?s Edge visitors are asked to use the rear entrances to the building as the front doors will

be locked.

The show will be on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. and going until 3:30 p.m. The Huron Sports Boosters will be on hand selling hot dogs, sloppy joes, chili, hot chocolate and coffee for those enjoying the show.

The show will wrap up at 3:30 with the banquet beginning at 5 p.m. A whitefish and chicken dinner, complete with all the fixings, cooked by Mary Fairbanks, will be served. The dinner is $10 per person and is all you can eat. Show organizer Dan Derry will present a slideshow of photos from numerous shows he has attended and Rick Dulac will again be on hand for live entertainment.

Local artist Steve Witucki crafted the trophies that will be handed out for the event as well as created an oil painting that will be auctioned off at the show. In addition to the auctioned copy, many prints of the painting will be on sale in a variety of forms. There will be 50/50 drawings throughout the day and a Chinese Raffle.
