Kreft and Claus earn top rankings for RCHS Class of 2009

Rogers City High School is proud to announce the honor students for the class of 2009. Valedictorian Kaylee Kreft and salutatorian Carly Claus will lead the class containing 40 honor students in commencement ceremonies in June.

Kaylee Kreft (4.00) is the daughter of Randy and Karen Kreft. She has participated in cross country and track for the Hurons. Kreft is also a member of band, the Key Club and the National Honor Society (NHS).

Following graduation this June Kreft plans to attend Central Michigan University to study either biomedical science or preveterinary medicine.

Carly Claus (3.864) is the daughter of Ray and Jessica Claus. Claus participated in three years of volleyball for the Hurons. She is a member of the Key Club, Natural Helpers, NHS, student council, choir, the Rogers City Community Theatre, book club, The Bigs and Littles (TBL) mentoring, Educational Talent Search (ETS) and St. Michael Lutheran Church. Claus plans to pursue a degree in speech pathology at Central Michigan University in the fall.
