She batted .413 during the 2009 season, but her on-base percentage was close to 60 percent because of the record number of walks the senior received. Bednarski?s name will be added to the Michigan High School Athletic Association record board with 45 walks in a season. She will be joined by junior teammate Cheryl Romel, who had 40 bases on balls. Bednarski also made the all-district team. The all-state selections are expected tomorrow. Bednarski was a first team, all-state selection in 2008.
