Miss Posen pageant is Friday at 7:30

Final practices are wrapping up for the annual Miss Posen pageant set for Friday. The event will be at Posen High School at 7:30 p.m. This year’s seven seniors-to-be at Posen High School are vying for the title of ?Miss Posen?, and the new queen will succeed Bonnie Schmitz, a 2009 graduate of Posen High School, winner of the title last year.

The contestants will be evaluated in individual interviews to be conducted the day of the pageant. During the pageant itself, they will be judged in the areas of coordination, poise and appearance (evening gown) and talent.

The contestants include Janice Grace Ciarkowski, Natasha Finley, Kaitlin Ann Hirschman, Emily Kroll, Julia Lewandowski, Elysha Peters and Cheryl Romel. Master of ceremonies will be Conrad Bruski along with co-mistress of ceremonies, Susie Martin, both from radio station WATZ.

Judges for this year?s program are: Ken Connon, Penny Mitchell and Carol Witherbee. The pageant precedes the annual Posen Potato Festival, which will be September 11, 12, and 13. The new queen and her court will reign over the festival as well as represent Posen at other events throughout the year.
