In a field of 230 runners Grambau was able to finish in the top quarter with her time of 21:22. To earn a medal and be named all-state in cross country a runner must finish in the top 30, the 30th place finisher ran the race in 20:44, just 38 seconds ahead of Grambau.

It was her first trip to the state finals after she narrowly missed out with a 21st place finish at the regional meet a year ago. ?I was very proud of Greta and her season this year. I know of no other senior girl that puts as much into the sports that she is in than Greta. I was very pleased with all of the runners that ran for Rogers City this season. I wish Greta good luck with the rest of her senior year,? said coach Rob Kortman.
