Museum lines up Santa display for holidays

The Presque Isle County Historical Museum will host its third annual ?Christmas at the Bradley House? beginning the day after Thanksgiving. This year?s theme is ?Santa at the Museum? and visitors will find the exhibit rooms of the museum decorated with more than 150 Santas of every size, shape, and vintage. Most of the Santas are from the collections of Hazel Yerks and Char Asikainen of Rogers City, Rick and Sharon Krzywiecki of Metz, and Jean and Ron Horrocks of Onaway. The real Santa will fly in from the North Pole each day between 1 and 2 p.m. Children are encouraged to bring Santa their Christmas ?wish lists,? or just stop by to meet the jolly old fellow.

In addition to all the Santas, the museum is decked out with elaborately decorated Christmas trees and a variety of Christmas displays. Those who haven?t finished their Christmas shopping will find some great gift ideas in the museum?s Sun Porch & Gift Shop. Christmas at the Bradley House will run from noon until 4 p.m. on Nov. 27 and 28, and Dec. 5, 12 and 19. Admission is free and visitors will be treated to free refreshments?courtesy of Santa Claus and his helpers. The Presque Isle County Historical Museum is located in the Bradley House at 176 W. Michigan Avenue in Rogers City.
