The 3rd Annual Nauti-Kruzers Cabin Fever Car Show is scheduled for this Saturday in the Mariners mall parking lot from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Registration will be from 10 a.m. until noon. Eighteen cars have pre-registered for the show. Although according to organizer Jim McMurray most people do not pre-register for car shows, they wait to see what the weather will be like.

The first two years of the show were done under questionable weather but the show has grown every year. Last year despite cold rainy weather the show drew 56 cars and organizers are hopeful this year will bring even more. The weather for Saturday looks promising with temperatures in the mid 60?s and partly cloudy. Scill?s Grill is a sponsor of the event along with many others, and will be cooking food for hungry visitors to the show.

This year, the club, which ?used to just be a few car nuts? according to McMurray, is a sanctioned club. Paperwork to become a recognized car club by the state of Michigan as well as the federal government has been filed and a boar

d has been elected. Jim McMurray is the president of the club while Bill VanSteenis is the treasurer and Ann Beach serves as the secretary.

?I anticipate that we will have even more cars than last year. I have heard a lot of promises including one gentleman who said he was going to bring 10 Camaros, but we won?t know until they arrive,? said McMurray. Registration for the show is $20 and dash plaques and goody bags will be given to the first 75 entrants in the show. All makes and models are welcome to the show and trophies will be awarded at 3 p.m. There will also be 50/50 raffles held during the show.

The public is invited to come down and enjoy the show as it is free to browse and check out the classic, custom, vintage and antique cars that will be on display throughout the day on Saturday.
