Blum?s current ranking is 66th

Throughout the month of October, Blum?s Landing continues competing for a $250,000 grant at the Pepsi Refresh Project. If they are awarded the grant, the money will be used to build two family cabins (Americans with Disabilities Act compliant, and wheelchair-friendly) on the property in Bearinger Township. The grants are awarded to the ideas that get the most votes during the month of October.

The project started pretty low in the rankings, but has moved up quickly to 66rd as votes started pouring in the first week. It was 63rd earlier this week.

Blum?s Landing is named after Sgt. Trevor Blumberg, who was killed in action Sept. 14, 2003 in Iraq. He was better known by his fellow soldiers as ?Blum.? His parents are building a place where wounded military personnel can vacation free of charge.
