As 2010 comes to an end, so will the reign of the Outlook?s New Year?s baby, Emily Rose Bentley. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Cody Bentley of Onaway.

Emily was born Jan. 13 at Northern Michigan Hospital. Even though it was nearly two weeks into 2010, Emily received a title she?ll take with her the rest of her life, while her parents received many fine gifts from area merchants.

And once the clock strikes midnight, the wait starts for the 2011 New Year?s baby. Again, many merchants have come together to offer some impressive gifts to shower the newborn and parents.

To enter the contest, a family member needs to call the Outlook w

ithin 48 hours of the birth. Last year, a family member called within two hours.

SINCE THEN, Jennifer said things have been kind of crazy at the Bentley house. ?Her and her brother (Jason) are hilarious,? said Jennifer. When asked what one of Emily?s favorite activities is, without hesitation Jennifer said, ?hitting her brother in the head, is her all-time favorite thing.? Jason, 2, takes it in stride. ?He thinks it?s funny.?

Emily?s first word was ?Daddy,? and she?s already walking around. ?She got a bike for Christmas,? said mom, ?she loves to just look at it and try to push it around.?

Next up, the family will get ready for a birthday party. Grandparents are Kurt and Brenda Campbell, and Richard and Deborah Bentley, all of Onaway.
