?He?s a very fine priest with a very generous heart,? said Hebda. ?He was very beloved in Gaylord, and I hated to see him go.? Eke served in Gaylord for a year as an associate pastor, and has been at St. Paul since September. The schedule of the bishop didn?t allow the installation service to be conducted sooner.

Hebda believes he?ll do a tremendous job. ?He has lots of energy, and such a great personality,? said Hebda. ?I know he?ll do a good job.?

Eke has several passions, including soccer, ping pong and mountain biking. He?ll enjoy the new trail, which begins construction next year, but he?ll be hard pressed to find a pickup soccer game. He might try a winter sport. ?Maybe I?ll ride a snowmobile while I?m here.? Eke?s term has been given a six-year term.
