With the bowling season done and over the Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association (MHSIBCA) has announced their 2011 all-state teams. Five Huron bowlers that also qualified for the individual state finals made the lists as seniors Robert Dietlin and Katie Darga were both named all-state first-team in Division IV. Junior Justin Hazel was named second-team all-state while sophomores Zach Hazel and Ashley Budnik were named third-team all-state.

In a season where both the girls? and boys? teams finished as regional champions and in the top eight in the state the all-state announcements were the perfect capper on another successful season and a tremendous ending to the careers of Darga and Dietlin.

Justin Hazel was a regional champion this season as he won the region by 123 pins over second-place Dietlin. Dietlin then had a great state tournament as he finished in the top four in the state and was the lone Huron to earn a medal at the state tournament. Darga was also a regional champion and advanced to her fourth consecutive individual state finals where she finished in the top 16.
