LaVerne Edna Wenzel, 64, of Belknap Township passed away January 4, 2012 at Tendercare – Alpena.

LaVerne was born December 19, 1947 in Belknap to Walter and Beatrice (Krey) Brege. She enjoyed arts and crafts and helping others.

LaVerne is survived by four sons, Todd of Mt. Clemens, Brian (Ashley) of Rogers City, Darrin of Wyoming and Jason of Rogers City; four grandchildren, Kaila, Dustin, Jase and Azzie; six siblings, Marlene (Dave) Henry, Darrol, Janice, Lynn, Kenneth (Denise) and Jeffery (Michelle) Brege. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Beatrice; and a brother, Wayne.
