Arnold William Bahrke
Arnold William “Butch” Bahrke, 77, of Hillman passed away Sunday, April 15, 2012, at his home.
Arnold was born July 23, 1934 in Royston to the late Paul and Edna (Cordes) Bahrke. He married Kathleen H. Schalk on June 18, 1960 at St. John Lutheran Church in Royston, and she preceded him in death June 7, 2002. Butch owned and operated Arnold Bahrke Logging until his semiretirement in 1998 continuing to work with his sons.
Surviving are eight children, Julie (Gary) Robertson, Dawn (Dwayne) Harris, Alan Bahrke, Janelle (John) Herrick, Hope (Ted) May, Leah (Rich Price) Brown, Clayton (Janine) Bahrke and Jared (Janette) Bahrke; 14 grandchildren, Jeremy, Karen, Jordyn, Caryn, Carissa, Madison, Garrett, Stewart, Joslynn, Hannah, Paul, Ivan, Jake and Jenna; and three great-grandchildren, Meagan, Lucas and Alexis.
