Arleen M. Pitts

Arleen M. Pitts of Onaway, formerly of Barryton, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City. The daughter of Grover Cleveland and Laura (Most) Hildebrand, Arleen was born July 1, 1918 in Trenton, New Jersey. On March 26, 1938 Arleen married Reo “Bill” Pitts in New Jersey.

Surviving are Arleen’s daughter, Linda Pitts of Onaway; a son, Ronald (Rosalie) Pitts of San Francisco, California; four grandchildren, Stephen Pitts of London, United Kingdom, Susan and Cathy Pitts, both of San Francisco, and Michael (Elyse) Pitts of New Canaan, Connecticut; and six great-grandchildren, Sarah, Alexandria, Rachel, Naomi, Morgan and Conor. She also leaves behind her brother, Grover Cleveland (Joyce) Hildebrand Jr. of Titusville, New Jersey; sisters-in law, Aletha (George) Stepanovic of Warren and Shirley Pitts of Coldwater; and many nieces and nephews.
