In Memory of
Tom and I were neighbors and lifelong friends. Growing up, we both lived on farms and had many animals. Tom came over one day and brought his new BB gun. I wasn’t allowed to have one, so I said “’Let me check it out.” We were messing around with it and shot my dad’s rooster and killed it. We did not tell my dad for a long time, as we knew we would get in trouble. This is only one of many great memories with my best friend. Also, I used to stay with the Hitchcocks. This one’s for Big Daddy (Reggie). I was at the house one day and the phone rings. It’s Tom, he says. “What you doing?” I said, “Having peanut butter toast,” he says, “Didn’t you read the note? Don’t use toaster, it has a mouse in it.” True story – long time joke. Tom was a very family oriented person and loved spending time with his family and friends. He always encouraged you to better yourself and when you did he always said “Good for you.” When he said that, he meant it from the bottom of his heart. Tom is going to be deeply missed.
