Noble “Cliff” Compton, 78, of Alanson, formerly of Millersburg, died at home Friday, February 1, 2013. The son of Clifton and Louise (Pavy) Compton, Cliff was born October 3, 1934 in Mitchell, Indiana. He married his soul mate and the love of his life, Barbara Hershey Stewart December 27, 1987.
Surviving are Cliff’s wife of
25 years, Barbara Compton of Alanson; three sons, Craig (Dianna) Compton of Richville, Clark (Dawn) Compton of Cheboygan and Chad (Cari) Compton of Millersburg; his former wife and friend, Cara Mae Compton of Millersburg; three stepsons, Mark (Patty) Stewart of Indian River, Mike (Michelle) Stewart of Garden City and Kevin (Stacy) Stewart of Indian River. He also leaves behind 15 very special grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Levi, Caleb, Cory, Megan and Calvin Compton; Adam, Tony (Alexis), Todd, Danielle, Paige and Rachel Stewart; Kaitlin and Ashley Blumke; and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Colton and Brooklyn Stewart.
