Night of entertainment planned for Miss Rogers City pageant

A full night of entertainment is planned for the 2013 Miss Rogers City Pageant, set for Friday at 7 p.m. at Rogers City High School. With 11 contestants and additional special entertainers lined up, the evening will be a showcase of local talent.

Each contestant has their own talent presentation and will be judged on their performance. The contestants, in order of appearance, include, Jillian Flanagan, Cynthia Kerr, Autumn Blanchard, Nikki Radke, Megan Quaine, Tiffani Lepkowski, Nicole Bannasch, Ali Haselhuhn, Sara Quaine, Jessica Butera and Rebecca Myers.

Hope Pauly, Miss Rogers City 2012 will be among the entertainers. She, along with first runner-up Brooklyn Idalski and second runner-up Anna Lehman, will dance to “Sunshine” in the second portion of the pageant.

Singers Nicole Grulke and Jess Ruppert, each forme

r contestants in the pageant, will perform “Hallelujah” together and Grulke will sing “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” as a solo performance.

Cassie Bruning is the pageant director; Joe Brewbaker will serve as master of ceremonies; and Ken Smolinski, Power Play DJ, will handle sound duties. The stage, lighting and dressing room crews consist of Brent Koel, Brandon Cook, Courtney Ciarkowski, Alan Kerr, Levi Ellenberger, Anne Basel, Ashley Basel, Missy Bannon, Rebecca Meredith and Rachel Lewandowski.

Lehman choreographed the opening number used for the coordination portion of the judging.

The evening will open with a photo introduction of the contestants by Richard Lamb.  The Nautical City Festival, Inc. sponsors the annual pageant with additional sponsorships from Presque Isle Newspapers, Inc., Thunder Bay Accounting, Rogers City Dental and Rogers City Rehabilitation Hospital.
