Web site report: PIAdvance.com draws more than 8,000 viewers this week
PIAdvance.com, the Web address of Presque Isle Newspapers, drew 8,210 visitors from every state in the union for the week ending Nov. 14, 2013. That is an average of 1,172 per day to view the local news, classifieds and videos featured on the site.
Viewers from Michigan far out-distanced the other states with 5,818 viewers for the week, or 831 per day from the state alone. The site also drew visitors from 29 countries other than the United States.
The site first debuted in 1996 and has had several major upgrades over the years. PIAdvance also operates a Facebook page which may be viewed at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Presque-Isle-Newspapers/112568402105188
Both are extensions of the newspaper operation, which publishes the Presque Isle County Advance and the Onaway Outlook. The newspapers are locally owned and locally focused.
