Joe O’Bradovich scored 23 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and had four assists, three steals, and three blocks Tuesday, as the Onaway High School varsity boys’ basketball team improved to 1-1 with a 65-55 win over visiting Joburg.

Prow hit a three to open the scoring. J-L went on a 6-2 run to go up 6-5, but O’Bradovich knocked down a pair of free throws to put OHS up 7-6 and the Cardinals never trailed again.

Joburg, though, would end the period on a 12-0 run to cut the gap to 30-26 at the half. Logan Huff scored six of his team-high 17 points during that run, which was aided by several OHS turnovers.
