Dorothy Bertram Free

Dorothy Bertram Free, 92, of Holt, formerly of Rogers City, died Thursday, November 28, 2013. She was born June 10, 1921 to Adelbert and Laura (Kuhlman) Bertram in Rogers City.

She is survived by her son, Christopher (Joyce) Free; and her daughter, Leslie (William) Soule. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Christopher Free, Danny Free, Melissa (Phil) Batch and Jennifer Soule. Dorothy had one great-grandson, Lucas Batch.

A memorial service will be held for Dorothy at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 14, at Messiah Lutheran Church located at 5740 W. Holt Rd., Holt, with the Rev. Stephen D. Grafe officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. A committal service will be held at the Rogers City Memorial Park Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. John Lutheran Church in Rogers City or Hospice of Ionia.
