Lila L. Chandler
Lila L. Chandler, 71, of Tower, died at home Monday, December 30, 2013.
The daughter of James and Helen (Mason) Dunsmore, Lila was born October 28, 1942 in Pontiac. She married Glenn Chandler August 23, 1980 in Onaway at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Surviving Lila are her husband of more than 33 years, Glenn Chandler of Tower; a son, James H. Domke of Millersburg; and two daughters, Alena Domke of Grand Rapids and Brianna Domke of Onaway. She also leaves behind her five sisters, Arla (Gary) Gilbert and Lisha Waldie (Jerry Brewbaker), both of Onaway, Susan (Thomas) Marcott of Cheboygan, Charleen (Allan) Aniel of Roseville and Marcia Waldie (Jim Lenox) of Tower; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Waldie of Tower; special friends, Sue Middaugh of Millersburg and Jenny Chaskey of Onaway; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at the Chagnon Funeral Home in Onaway on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The Rev. Josh Ketelsen will officiate. Lila’s final resting place will be in Tower at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family has suggested in lieu of flowers donations to honor Lila’s memory be made to the Onaway Ambulance Equipment Fund.
