Frank Albert Witkowski, 80, of Rogers City, died peacefully at home, April 1, 2014.

He was born May 18, 1933 in Rogers City to Frank and Josephine (Hincka) Witkowski.

Mr. Witkowski is survived by his wife of 56 years, Naomi; three daughters, Madelene “Maggie” (Tom Wirgau) of Three Rivers, Josie (Bob) Peltz of Rogers City and Eileen (Dan) Vekaryasz of Mt. Cory, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Carr, Leann (John Underferth) Vekaryasz, Brandon Wirgau, Nickolas (Lori) Vekaryasz, Garrett Vekaryasz, Dustin (Tony Patterson) Peltz, Travis Peltz, Kortnee Vekaryasz, Billy Henthorne, Gracie Vekaryasz, Alexis Vekaryasz and Ayanna Vekaryasz; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Vekaryasz, Jordyn Mankin, Adam Carr, Frank Vekaryasz and Sophie Wirgau; six siblings, Agnes (Roy) Savage, Eleanor Kiesel, Richard Witkowski, Walter “Pete” (Sally) Witkowski, Janet (Ohillip) Whitehouse and Louis Witkowski; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends visited the Beck Funeral Home, April 3 with the Rev. Sylvestre Obwaka officiating the Mass of Resurrection at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Posen Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7804 accorded military honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may given to Rogers City Montessori or Hospice of the Sunrise Shore.
