Student craftsmanship to be displayed at RCHS

Rogers City High School (RCHS) will be hosting the region 14 and 15 Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society (MITES) competition this Friday.

Students have been busy putting the finishing touches on their projects this week, with open shops after school. Public viewing of all the projects from the two regions will be from 2 until 5:30 p.m. Friday at the high school gym.

Project registration will be in the morning and judging will take place between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Those projects who place in first, second, third or fourth place at regionals will advance to the state convention at Saginaw Valley State University April 30 –May 3.

The public is invited to come to the school and check out the work done not only by RCHS students but students from schools in Presque Isle, Cheboygan, Emmet, Charlevoix, Otsego, Montmorency, Alpena, Crawford, Oscoda, Alcona, Roscommon, Ogemzw, Iosco, Antrim, Kalkaska, Missaukee, Wexford, Benzie, Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties.
