Irene Lewandowski, 93, of Posen passed away Saturday afternoon May 10, 2014 at her home.
The daughter of Adam and Julia (Petrowski) was born in Alpena May 22, 1920. She grew up i
n Alpena and married Anthony “Tony” Lewandowski June 28, 1947 in Alpena. Surviving are a son, Stanley (Pam) of Posen; three daughters, Lois McGinty of Jacksonville, Florida, Bette Lewandowski of Posen and Marie (Mike) Kortman of Hawks; seven grandchildren, Jenny Lewandowski, Julie Belfer, Jesse Kamyszek, Katie Lewandowski, Yvonne Redding, Steve McGinty and Heather McGinty; and three great-grandchildren, Nyla, Claire and Kelsey. Visitation was Wednesday, May 14, at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Posen until the funeral Mass with the Rev. Arthur Duchnowicz officiating. Burial followed at St. Casimir Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be given to Hospice of the Sunrise Shore.
