Lucille Renata Schalk
Lucille Renata Schalk, 93, of Belknap Township, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home. She was born August 13, 1920 to Edgar and Eleanor (Paull) Rambadt in the same home in which she died.
She is survived by four children, Carlene (Dan) Ostrom of Freeland, Ruth (Jack) Myers of Rogers City, Lona Tan (Erroll Stephenson) of Glendale, Arizona and Paul (Mary) of Rogers City; 11 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Lori) Grasso, Jon (Jennifer) Grasso, Jay (Amy) Grasso, Michael Myers, Jim (Karen) Myers, Andy (Shana) Myers, Amy (Bill) Harrington, Katie (Eric) Brenton, Jeremy (Katie) Tan, Brett (Miranda) Schalk and Justin (Lindsey) Schalk; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Beatrice Brietzke Schalk of Hawks. She will be missed by many family and friends whom she touched with her kindness. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; a son-in-law, Arnold Tan; and one great-grandson Lucas Tan.
Friends and family may visit at Beck Funeral Home in Rogers City today (Thursday, May 15) from 2 until 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at St. Michael Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. Friday where the funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.. Internment will be at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Michael Scholarship Fund, Choir or General Fund, or Hospice of the Sunrise Shore.
