Chester A. Briggs

Chester A. Briggs, 102, of Traverse City, formerly of Canada Creek Ranch, died at home Wednesday, June 18, 2014. The son of Percy and Blanche (Westover) Briggs, Chester was born in Rose City September 27, 1911. He married Eva Hosney 1957.

Surviving Chester are his three sons, David (Carol) Briggs, Sr. of Traverse City, Dan (Judy) Briggs of Harpswell, Maine, and Jim (Judy) Briggs of North Carolina; as well as 10 grandchildren and many great-and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Eva.

A memorial service was held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Glen Eagle, in Traverse City. Hospice of Michigan chaplain, the Rev.
