Anna Mary Glawe

Anna Mary Glawe, 95, of Ocqueoc, died in Bay City at Kim’s Adult Foster Care Home Sunday, July 20, 2014. The daughter of William and Mary (Dost) Altman, Anna was born and raised at the Altman family farm just south of Rogers City in Hagensville September 20, 1918.  As a young woman during World War II, Anna moved to Detroit and worked in a factory producing munitions and war supplies.

Surviving Anna is her daughter, Marsha L. Merten of Birch Run; four sons, Mark Glawe of Ocqueoc, William “Billy” Lynch of Oscoda, and Edward P. (Mary) Glawe Jr. and Timothy Glawe, both of Bay City; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Bill (Alice) Altman of Rogers City.

Visitation will be held at the Chagnon Funeral Home Friday July 25, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m.  The Rev. James Brabson of North Country Baptist Church will officiate.  Anna’s final resting place will be in Millersburg at Riverside Cemetery.
