Donna C. Matuszewski
Donna C. Matuszewski, 84, of Rogers City passed away August 22, 2014 at Tendercare Health Center in Rogers City.
She was born June 21, 1930 in Rogers City to Lawrence and Ruth (Peter) Carter.
Donna married Donald J. Matuszewski February 9, 1950 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Metz.
Donna is survived by three daughters, Joan Herrick of Alpena, Janis (Paul) Smolinski of Rogers City and Barbara Roberson of AuGres; five grandchildren; Amy Altman, Dennis Smolinski, Michael Altman, Ryan Herrick and Charles Smolinski; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Rosemary Trapp; a sister-in-law, Rita (John) Kleiber and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was at the Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 26 with a parish wake service. Mass of Resurrection was celebrated at St. Ignatius Catholic Church by the Rev. Sylvestre Obwaka on Wednesday Aug. 27. Per Donna’s request, there was no viewing on Wednesday.
Internment followed at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in Donna’s name to St. Ignatius Catholic School, Tendercare Activities Department or Hospice of the Sunrise Shore.
