The Onaway cross country teams got the season started Tuesday with a race at Black Mountain. The boys’ team won the meet with a solid performance.

“It was a great way to start the season. The trail was the toughest I have seen and the kids stepped up to the challenge. It was a great foundation to build this season on,” said coach Marty Mix.

Joe Traynham took first place to repeat as the winner of this race. Morgan McLean wasn’t far behind finishing in fourth place. Seth Satchewell finished in eighth place and Preston Badgero was 10th.
