13th annual Night at the Lighthouse event Oct. 10
The 40-Mile Point Lighthouse society is proud to announce their 13th annual Night at the Lighthouse event Friday, Oct. 10 beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Entertainment will be offered by the Huron Shores Barbershop Chorus and later an acoustic jam session will break out for anyone who brings an instrument and wants to join the fun.
The pathways leading to the lighthouse will be lantern lit and will lead visitors to the lighthouse decorated in vintage Christmas finery. The Calcite pilothouse and bunkhouse gift shop will be open for viewing as well. Complimentary refreshments will be served in the fog signal building featuring hot spiced cider, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies.
Santa Claus has made an early visit to the area and left special gifts hanging on the twig tree in the fog signal building.
